Alcove

Privacy

Photos, profile, and local data.

Alcove keeps the home you describe on this device. There is no account server behind the app.

What stays on your device

The details you add are stored locally, including:

Your username is created on this device and is not edited later. Sample rooms and sample people are part of the app. They are not your contacts and they are not uploaded from your phone.

Camera, photos, and microphone

Alcove asks for a permission only when you use that feature.

You can turn any of these off in iOS Settings. The rest of Alcove still opens.

What we do not do

Alcove does not ask you to create an account. It does not sell your information, and it does not send your photos, profile, or chats to an Alcove server. If you email support, that message goes through your own mail app.

Children

Alcove is a home journal for adults. It is not directed at children.

Changes

If this notice changes, the date below will change with it. The copy in the app’s Me tab points here.
